Or 10 p.m., just because of the snow that’s coming in, and then you even know if you’re going to make a day of it tomorrow in Frederick, 9 a.m. Even after a few inches of snow that we get overnight, there will still be slippery spots. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY LOOKS MUCH BETTER. It will warm above freezing. ANY SALT PUT BACK ON THE ROADS AND WALKWAYS REALLY HELPS. Just pay attention to the cooling down in the evening. After around 4 p.m. the temperatures drop below freezing and the sun sets. You can still hit the road after 5pm, but just know that some roads will get slippery again. BUT AT LEAST IT WILL DRY OUT FOR THE REST OF TOMORROW. RIGHT NOW the temperatures are over 20°C so it is very cold. IT WILL BE A VERY COOL DAY AS WE WILL HAVE LOW TO MID 30°C THIS AFTERNOON. The clouds are increasing, so this is different than yesterday. We won’t have as much bright sun, which means the pavement won’t melt as much. FUTURECAST WILL SHOW DRY WEATHER ALL DAY. BUT THE INCREASE CLOUDS. THEN THE SNOW SHOWERS WILL START AFTER 9:00 AM TONIGHT. They continue until tomorrow morning and clean up around nine in the morning. We’re expecting about one to two inches of total snow for the Baltimore area here. SOME PLACES MAY SEE A LITTLE LESS ONLY TO THE NORTH AND WEST, BUT PARTS OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND MAY ALSO HAVE MORE THAN 5 INCHES OF SNOW. IT WILL BE HEAVIER IN WESTERN MARYLAND, WITH ABOUT 3 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW WEST OF OAKLAND. So most snow falls overnight from 10 p.m. to 9 p.m. And I would watch out for slippery roads, especially ones that aren’t treated with salt or that still have ice on them, because you put the powder snow on top of the ice, it’s going to be really slippery out there. IT WILL MELT SOMETHING IN THE AFTERNOON AS WE WARM BRIEFLY ABOVE THE FREEZING PLACE. This would be the best time to shovel again before it freezes again in the evening. AFTER 4:00 PM, WHEN THE SUN SET, THE TANK FILLS BELOW THE FREEZING LEVEL AND SO EVERYTHING LEFT ON THE STREETS BECOMES CALM. SO THERE WILL BE AT LEAST SEVERAL HOURS OF DRY WEATHER BEFORE THE MORNING GAME, WHICH THE TEAMS CAN GO OUT, MAKE CARE OF THE STADIUM PARKING AND ALSO THROW THE SNOW OFF ALL THE SEATS. It will be a very powdery snow so I hope it just floats away. BUT 29 DEGREES TO STICK AND THE WIND COOLS TO 20. IT WILL BE VERY COLD FOR THE GAME. OUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST. So that’s really the only troublemaker in our seven-day forecast. ONLY THE slippery spots you’ll have to deal with tomorrow morning. 35 IN THE AFTERNOON, BUT THEN 26 ON SATURDAY EVENING, SUNDAY, FULL SUN. I’m so happy to see this. AND TEMPERATURES WILL WARM ABOVE FREEZING. So I think we’ll make even more progress by Sunday afternoon with all the snow and ice. Again, if you have anything left on your sidewalk and driveway, it would be time to get out there. Really push the mud away because temperatures will be below freezing again Sunday evening. Monday is even milder at 44. Really. TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING BEFORE
