At the Florida-Florida State game, another post-game incident occurred where a flag was placed at midfield. After the Gators’ 31-11 win, FSU coach Mike Norvell was seen pulling a Florida flag from the turf at midfield.

After the game, the players scuffled on the field, and afterward, Norvell was seen chatting with Florida coach Billy Napier.

“I told him what I thought,” Norvell told reporters after the game. “You won the game.” You have the right to celebrate, like we have in previous years. It was just the way we operate. And that’s fine – you want to come and do that, that’s absolutely a decision you can make within a team. I just told him what I thought.”
