Savannah Guthrie will always have a special place in Hoda Kotb’s heart — and now in her jewelry box.

On January 10, 60-year-old Kotb left the office Today after 17 years as a co-host on the show, an event celebrated with a week-long farewell considered a “Hoda-bration.”

Ahead of her departure, Kotb told PEOPLE that she had been receiving memorabilia and gifts from fans and colleagues throughout the week. “I love it – I take it, I wear it, I drink it, I eat it, people bake cookies,” she gushed. “I read it. I mean, these cards, I can’t handle the cards. The cards are my favorite part.”

Included were two meaningful pieces of jewelry she received from Guthrie. “She gave me this ring that says ‘love’ on it. And she gave me this bracelet that says, ‘With you,'” Kotb revealed.

The accessories were seen in detail in a video shared by Instagram Todayin which Kotb said she felt “grateful, overflowing and protected” just because Guthrie, 53, was by her side on her final day Today Sentence.

As for Guthrie’s feelings? She simply described the day with gratitude and said her only word was “thank you.”

In addition to the jewelry, Guthrie gifted Kotb a set of pom-poms as a tribute to all the support she has received over the years, and a clock with a broken dial on it because she “doesn’t need an alarm clock anymore.”

“Let me tell you something about her: She always shows up,” Kotb told PEOPLE of Guthrie. “She always shows up. That’s what she does best. She shows up for people, for her friends. She shows up.”

It wasn’t that long ago when Kotb received another heartfelt gift from her co-star. In one Today In a clip posted on Christmas Day, the mother of two unwrapped a set of wishing candles and an acrylic stand decorated with Josh Garrel’s lyrics, “May you find a light to lead you home,” which Guthrie considers her secret one Santa Claus had bought.

Kotb, whose position will be filled by Craig Melvin, will now enter a new phase of her life that includes spending more time with her daughters Haley Joy, 7, and Hope Catherine, 5. She is also launching a wellness app and business. This includes retreats and a podcast that starts in the spring.

“Someone said to me, ‘When you jump… imagine you’re on the other side.’ Imagine what you feel like doing. Feel it,” Kotb told PEOPLE. “’It’s like imagining what your hand feels like when you jump out of one relationship and into a new one. How do you feel when you stand next to him? Do you feel seen, respected, loved? This is the relationship you want to be in.’”

She adds: “‘It’s the same with the job. Imagine how you feel there. You feed people and help them with this wellness company. That’s good. And how else are you feeling? You feel lighter, you feel inspired, you have more creativity, you sleep better. And more importantly, you became a better mother every day because you were allowed to be there.’”
