Texas vs. Ohio State predictions and live updates: Cotton Bowl CFP semifinals, how to watch, odds and updates

Song H.: These are the two most talented teams left, but still, OSU is healthier and appears to have taken full advantage of its talent in the last two games. I’m a Texas fan, but the undisciplined, non-complementary offense/defense isn’t going to beat OSU when it hits full force. I hope it’s an exciting game, but unless Texas ends up playing a complete game (they haven’t done that all year), I just can’t see them beating this version of OSU.

Joshua M.: As an OSU fan, it’s hard to imagine this game playing out like the first two. Texas’ defense is better than Tennessee’s and much better than Oregon’s. Their DL will give OSU more trouble and our OL will probably make some mistakes – they played crazy given their injuries. But of course we will have our moments. I expect our offense to look something like it did against Penn State – respectable, but flawed. On the other hand, Texas will have some major success with this talent, and I expect Quinn to be at his best – he’s finally healthy and looks completely confident. OSU will finish a consistent running game, so it will come down to whether Texas can break through often enough to keep up.
