Kings at Celtics Preview: Time, TV and Notes

The Celtics return home from a 3-1 road loss to host the Sacramento Kings, who are looking to extend their winning streak to six.

Boston’s four-game road trip ended Tuesday with a 118-106 victory over the Denver Nuggets, led by Jayson Tatum’s 29 points. Kristaps Porzingis added 25 points and 11 rebounds.

“(Tuesday) was, I think, one of the first games where I felt like I was feeling healthy and good and getting back into shape,” Porzingis said.

Sacramento, meanwhile, earned a double-overtime win over the Heat in which the Kings erased a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

The Kings were 13-18 when they fired head coach Mike Brown on December 27th. Since then, Sacramento has been on the rise, improving its record to 18-19 under interim coach Doug Christie. However, the Kings have lost six straight times to the Celtics and have not won at TD Garden since March 19, 2021.

“They are the champions,” Christie said of the Celtics. “It doesn’t get any better just watching them go about their business. There will be sleepless nights trying to figure something out for her.”
