Nintendo hasn’t announced this yet Switch 2 – but you wouldn’t think that’s the case if you’ve spent any time on social media in the last few days. Krysta Yang, former senior manager of creator relations and original content and head of the Switch launch campaign, commented on the situation on Twitter and is convinced that Nintendo “will not move away” from the planned announcement date.

“As wild as these leaks are, Nintendo will stick to its plan,” Yang writes. “You have a date in mind and you won’t budge no matter what.”

This opinion was also shared by Kit Ellis – Nintendo of America’s former director of social media marketing and original content, who also served as co-host of the official YouTube series “Nintendo Minute” alongside Yang. Ellis also states that Nintendo values ​​”long-term” plans over “short-term” opportunities, and it would take advantage of the latter if it responds to the alleged Switch 2 leaks now. Obviously, “it’s an awkward time for them now, they don’t like what’s happening,” but “a lot of this will be in the rearview mirror” once the announcement actually happens, especially since no games or software have been leaked.
