11Alive is monitoring current road conditions below.

ATLANTA – After widespread wintry precipitation fell across metro Atlanta on Friday, concern is now turning to moisture freezing on roads and bridges, leaving motorists in for a messy Saturday morning.

11Alive monitors current road conditions below, where you can track real-time traffic data and road temperatures.

The Georgia Department of Transportation said more than 300 pieces of equipment were deployed across the region to plow Georgia roads. GDOT said its crews were working 12-hour shifts and prioritizing routes heavily traveled by emergency vehicles.

However, GDOT warned that conditions on the roads will continue to deteriorate and should be considered dangerous for travel. Numerous accidents and incidents have been reported on Georgia’s highways and state highways. For their own safety, drivers should continue to heed all warnings to stay off the road.
