Is Saturday Night Live new tonight? January 11, 2025 SNL host

It’s 2025 and Saturday Night Live has officially begun SNL50 Celebrating the Sketch Series’ Fifth Decade.

Regard Saturday Night Live Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and Peacock, stream the next day on Peacock.

First up: 50 Seasons in 50 Days, an online rollout of sketches selected by the team behind it SNL to represent each era of the show – visit us NBC Insider daily to get behind-the-scenes insights into each selection, which so far includes Ryan Gosling’s “Papyrus,” “SNL 40: Celebrity Jeopardy” and “(Do It on My) Twin Bed.”

Peacock will present the four-part series on January 16th Beyond Saturday Night Documentaries that dive deep into all aspects of creating an episode, a cast, and an entire season. This will be followed on January 27 by the premiere of a documentary film about the show’s musical guests over the years. Ladies and gentlemen… 50 years of SNL music, Co-directed by Questlove and Oz Rodriguez.

And on Sunday, February 16, the show’s 50 days of fandom culminates in the three-hour primetime run SNL50: The Anniversary Special, Broadcast live on NBC and Peacock.

Is Saturday Night Live New tonight, January 11, 2025?

NO. SNL is still on post-holiday break this weekend. The show returns on January 18th with Dave Chappelle returning as host for the fourth time with musical guest GloRilla.

On January 11, NBC will re-air the November 2 episode hosted by John Mulaney. This was the comedian and ex-host’s sixth time hosting SNL Writer.

Mulaney opened the live show with a hysterical opening monologue about fatherhood and growing older. The episode also featured a new installment in Mulaney’s “New York Musical” series — this time he plays Duane Reade at the Port Authority — and a surprisingly emotional pretape about a monkey astronaut named Beppo.

Meanwhile, musical guest Chappell Roan wowed with a live performance of her hit “Pink Pony Club” and the debut of new, country-tinged track “The Giver.”

Peacocks Beyond Saturday Night The documentaries premiere on January 16th

A freely accessible four-part documentary, SNL50: Beyond Saturday Nightdebuts January 16 on Peacock.

Morgan Neville, the Oscar and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker behind documentaries, will serve as executive producer piece by piece And 20 feet from fame, SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night Features rare behind-the-scenes footage of the iconic late-night series, celebrity interviews, and more than 60 contributors—including former cast members and writers—who reflect on working on the show.

Questloves 50 years of SNL music documentary

To keep the celebration going, NBC will air the documentary Ladies and gentlemen… 50 years of SNL music, Co-directed by Oz Rodriguez and The Roots drummer, Tonight’s show Bandleader and Oscar-winning filmmaker Questlove.

The three-hour special promises “untold stories behind the culture-defining, groundbreaking and headline-grabbing musical performances, skits and cameos of the last 50 years.” The film premieres January 27 on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
