It’s finally game time. No, not THIS game.

It’s time for college football fans to gather for the Cotton Bowl. Florida residents may have some of the best seats in the house.

Despite the cold weather in the Sunshine State, that’s an improvement over the National Weather Service’s forecast for Texas.

Although today’s game will be played indoors, snow and ice could make getting there and back a challenge for sports fans.

Who will play in the 2025 Cotton Bowl?

The Cotton Bowl will be a matchup between the No. 8 seed Ohio State Buckeyes and the No. 5 seed Texas Longhorns in the College Football Playoff semifinals. The winner of today’s game will play Notre Dame in the college football national championship on January 20th.

Notre Dame defeated Penn State on Thursday night to advance.

“We regularly monitor weather reports and are in close contact with AT&T Stadium and local officials,” a Cotton Bowl spokesperson told USA TODAY Sports.

“We always have plans for bad weather. If conditions warrant, we will communicate this to all participants and participants in this year’s Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.”

The National Weather Service issued a winter advisory for Arlington until noon CST, warning residents of light freezing drizzle or snow with some minor additional ice accumulations.

Meteorologists warned travelers in the area to prepare for slippery roads.

Today: High temperature around 35, with northwest winds 10-15 mph and gusts as high as 25 mph.
Tonight: Early evening mostly cloudy, then clear, with a low around 21. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest after midnight.
