Raiders News: Raiders hire Jed Hughes to assist in GM and head coach search

The Las Vegas Raiders are looking for a new general manager and head coach. Mark Davis and Tom Brady had a plan to build the football team, but Antonio Pierce and Tom Telesco didn’t fit the future. Both were released this week, leaving the Raiders with vacancies

On Friday, the Raiders began their head coaching interviews with Aaron Glen and Ben Johnson. While Mark Davis will make the final decision, he has decided to seek outside help. Davis has hired a company to assist him in his search.

Jed Hughes is from a search firm called Korn Ferry. He has many years of experience in finding the right coaches for teams to be successful. Davis has decided to turn to a person with his track record to help the franchise become respectable.

With Hughes’ expertise in finding the right head coach and GM fit, Davis made a smart move. It’s a franchise that needs a boost after persistent difficulties. Hopefully Hughes can help them select the right candidate to right the ship.
