‘I’m not ready to speak against the shield’ – Fans are furious within seconds as Tom Brady pauses on a controversial call

That didn’t last long.

Tom Brady called his first postseason game, and less than 10 seconds into the game, he was faced with an unusual decision.

On the first kickoff, Green Bay Packers kick returner Keisean Nixon fumbled the ball because a hit appeared to indicate helmet-to-helmet contact

Brady didn’t think so.

“Good, clean hit,” Brady said.

“Right on the ball.”

He repeated this feeling over and over again, while replays clearly showed it was helmet against helmet.

It didn’t take long for social media to catch on.

After an already difficult first year in the broadcast booth — the first season of a $375 million, 10-year deal with FOX Sports — fans appear to have had enough.

“Tom Brady hit the ball perfectly,” while the replay was obviously helmet to helmet. “Another announcer unwilling to speak out against the shield,” one fan wrote on X.

“I really just want Tom Brady to go away,” chimed in another fan.

The headlines and hate for Brady’s comment continued.

“Tom Brady’s comment sounds like he’s reading it from a teleprompter” and “Tom Brady is the worst announcer I’ve ever heard” as the criticism kept coming up.

Brady’s first year alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt will end in New Orleans as FOX has the rights to Super Bowl LIX.

There’s plenty of room to grow and learn, but for a $37.5 million season, it’s an unforgiving school, as evidenced by the reaction to its latest questionable decision.

Unfortunately for Brady, that wasn’t his only mistake.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion stumbled along with other glaring errors throughout the game.

He referred to Packers running back Josh Jacobs as Brandon Jacobs, but quickly noticed his gaffe and corrected himself.

Brady also once called the Eagles the Phillies.

He looked nervous and sounded like he was full of nerves.

After this game, the former star quarterback has two more games left before the biggest stage in American sports.

For everyone’s sake, Brady better hope he gets things under control, because if he doesn’t, things could get really ugly.
