Show the way. Good morning and thank you for joining us at 6:00 am. I’M TIFFANY WILSON, HERE WITH METEOROLOGIST KATIE DONOVAN. While driving through heavy rain when we arrived overnight. It’s a bit of a break at the moment, but there’s a weather influence today. IT IS. YES. So we’ll see a few patchy showers later today. BUT WE WILL SEE LESS RAIN THAN WHAT WE SEEN LAST NIGHT. AND THE STRONG WINDS WILL BECOME A GREATER CONCERN as we move into the late afternoon and early evening hours. Due to the active weather, this is an impact that continues today. This is a live look at our radar right now and you can see scattered rain moving in from the south. Once again, rain is rare, especially after what we saw last night, and today mostly on the east and west sides of the viewing area. WHAT WE’RE FINDING RIGHT NOW FROM HILLSBORO TO ADAMS COUNTY: SOME LIGHT RAIN, MAYBE SOME MODERATE SHOWERS NORTH OF WEST UNION, LIGHT RAIN AROUND LOVELAND AND MILFORD. At this point it’s really more sprinkles. AND THEN WE HAVE SOME SHOWERS moving through COLUMBIA, LAUREL, METAMORA and BLOOMING GROVE. THESE WILL BE LIFT NORTHWARDS ABINGDON AND LIBERTY THIS MORNING. AND THEN SOUTH OF 74 SOME CORPORATE RAIN FROM SUNMAN THROUGH LAWRENCEBURG AND RISING SUN, VERSAILLES TO CARROLLTON AND MADISON JUST OUTSIDE THE AREA. I see a few scattered rains. So this will increase northward and this low pressure system will continue to move through the region. TEMPERATURES ARE ALWAYS HIGH, INITIALLY VERY MILD, 58 DEGREES COULD BE A VERY RECORD HEAT LOW THIS MORNING. I believe that record was 54. It was reset in 2019. So again a very mild start to the day. WE CURRENTLY HAVE 58 IN WARSAW, 58 IN OWENTON AND ABOUT 57 IN INDEPENDENCE. AND AGAIN GUSTS FROM THE SOUTH AT AROUND 20 EVEN 35 MPH. WE WILL CONTINUE THIS UNTIL AFTERNOON. A wind warning has been issued due to these winds. STARTING AT 10:00 AM THIS MORNING, AND THOSE GUSTS CAN BE UP TO 40, EVEN 50 MPH WHILE STAYING AT 3, 4, OR 5:00 THIS EVENING. SO THE WEATHER INFLUENCES ARE LESS TODAY IS THE RAIN. WE’LL TALK ABOUT THE SCHEDULE FOR IT AND THEN ABOUT GOOD WEATHER TO START THE NEW WEEK. TIFFANY. KATIE. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. IN ORDER. What a rollercoaster overtime win for the Bengals against the Denver Broncos last night. Fans hope to see CINCINNATI in the playoffs. Yes, they are still alive this morning. AND WLWT RICHARD CHILES JOINS US LIVE FROM PAYCOR STADIUM. RICHARD, WHAT A WILD GAME. HA-HA. HEY. Well, this Bengals team is very special. This game last night, one that will have fans swearing they were here at PAYCOR Stadium and had the chance to see the CINCINNATI BENGALS keep those hopes alive. WITH THIS WIN AGAINST THE DENVER BRONCOS IN OVERTIME. NOW CINCINNATI HAD A CHANCE TO WIN EARLIER BECAUSE KATE BJÖRK COULD NOT HIT A 33-YEAR-OLD FIELD GOAL. The Bengals are back and continuing to take the field. We march back across the field. SECOND TRY. Luckily, the Bengals were able to force a Broncos punt, giving CINCINNATI another chance to win. JOE BURROW BEATS HIGGINS FOR A 31-YARD GAIN, BRINGING THE BENGALS TO THE DENVER THREE-YARD LINE. NEXT GAME: BURROW FINDS HIGGINS AGAIN, FITS THE FINISH FOR THE THIRD TOUCHDOWN OF THE NIGHT AND SECURES A 30-24 WIN. LAST NIGHT. FANS REACT TO THE BIG WIN. After today they look great. I’m optimistic. Hopefully they understood. I feel like a million bucks today. GREAT JOB. BENGAL. Now the Bengals are still clinging to their path to the playoffs. CINCINNATI NEEDS TO GET ANOTHER WIN NEXT WEEK IN PITTSBURGH. DENVER HAS TO LOSE TO THE CHIEFS NEXT WEEK. BUT KANSAS CITY WILL LIKELY SUSPECT THEIR STARTING PLAYERS FOR THIS GAME. CARSON WENTZ WILL NOW LEAD THE TEAM. TODAY THE BENGALS OF COURSE HOPE FOR A FEW LOSSES, HOPEING TO GET A CHANCE TO CAPTURE A LOSS FROM THE COLTS. A loss for the dolphins. BOTH TEAMS EXPECT THEIR STARTERS TO ALSO BE REMOVED. BUT THIS HAS BEEN A ROLLER COASTER OF A SEASON FOR THE ORANGE-BLACK CINCINNATI HOPES, WHO ARE STILL ALIVE TO REACH THE PLAYOFFS. THIS MORNING I’LL REPORT LIVE FROM PAYCOR STADIUM. RICHARD CHILE’S WLWT NEWS FIVE. RICHARD THANK YOU. 605 at the moment and we’re at the forefront of breaking news from South Korea, where the death toll is rising after a fiery plane crash yesterday. AT LEAST 177 PEOPLE ON BOARD THE FLIGHT WERE KILLED. And we should warn you that this video is disturbing. SOUTH KOREAN AUTHORITIES SAY THAT THE FLIGHT CARRYING 175 PASSENGERS AND SIX CREW MEMBERS APPARENTLY HAD A MALFUNCTION WITH THE LANDING GEAR AND THEN THE PLANE Slid OFF THE RUNWAY UPON LANDING AND burst into flames when it hit a barrier. A National Fire Service spokesman says we have one passenger and one crew member
