A “Reba” reunion at “Happy’s Place”

Steve Howey will guest star in the Christmas episode of the NBC sitcom. #k5evening

SEATTLE – It’s a Christmas miracle for fans of the original sitcom “Reba.” Steve Howey, who played Reba McEntire’s son-in-law, makes a guest appearance on her new NBC show Happy’s Place. He will reunite with both Reba and his co-star Melissa Peterman.

“Happy’s Place” is a throwback to classic TV comedies. It is a multi-cam format recorded in front of a live studio audience.

“He walks into her office with Reba and the studio audience legitimately started screaming for about 10 minutes,” Peterman said. “They were just so excited.”

“The ‘Reba’ show has a very special place in my heart,” Howey said. “It was like going to a family reunion where you really like your family.”

In this episode of Happy’s Place, Howey plays a character who throws a Christmas party at the tavern – and as you can imagine, shenanigans ensue.

“We’re all in this one big story together, which is one of my favorite things about a sitcom,” Peterman said. “We laughed really hard.”

The most important question, however, is whether Howey will return for more episodes.

“Maybe, maybe,” Howey said. “If I’m lucky enough to come back, I definitely would.”

The holiday episode of “Happy’s Place” airs Friday, December 6 at 9:15 p.m. on NBC
