SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT – The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement for southern Connecticut Monday afternoon.

At 1:29 p.m., the weather service wrote: “…Slippery ride through this evening…Light snow will continue until 3 p.m. Most roads will remain wet, but some may be briefly covered in snow. Temperatures remain below freezing everywhere, so there may be icy and slippery surfaces when commuting in the evening. Be especially careful when traveling this afternoon and evening.
