A Thanksgiving Miracle! Tyrese Haliburton is great again

I feel like the mood for Indiana sports has been bleak lately. To lift everyone’s spirits, I would like to go to the table and have everyone share what they are grateful for. I’m grateful that Tyrese Haliburton is well again. After an inexplicable slump, Tyrese is back to pushing the tempo, dishing out no-look passes, throwing ups, all while being effective from the 3-point line.

The highlights of the last few games aren’t as flashy as superstar Anthony Edwards running away and posting someone, but the highlights show him looking like himself. And at the end of the day, Tyrese can score just as well as someone like Ant and get out of sprinter vans with a bevy of white chicks just as well as Ant. That’s what superstars do.

When I saw the masked Tyrese picks being posted on social media, I was sure he would unlock his final form. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a superhero performance from the masked Tyrese because it made him act like shit. Further proof that little things can affect the way you think and mess everything up. Luckily, Haliburton has taken off the mask because there is ZERO chance of the Pacers winning their third straight with Hali masked.

The Pacers aren’t exactly facing the league’s top competition, but these inferior teams would have been Indy L’s if the struggling Haliburton had taken the court. The problems weren’t entirely Haliburton’s, but when he improved, a few bad defeats turned into victories. The real test to see if the old Haliburton is back will be its performance on the road. His split between home and away was insane.

When the Pacers played in Milwaukee just before that three-game home win streak, Tyrese played a solid game. Nothing special, but he no longer looked like a shell of the player he once was. Hopefully that means the old Haliburton is officially back, and not just because Indiana is playing dog water teams at home. But the eye test shows that Haliburton is having fun and playing like himself, and I’m grateful for that.
