Meteorologist Majestic Storm has the forecast

Hello, happy Thursday morning too. I am a 4029 meteorologist. Majestic storm. It’s January 9th and it’s a terrible day for the river valley in northwest Arkansas. Note that the National Weather Service has issued various winter weather advisories, warnings and warnings extending into Texas, Oklahoma and here throughout Arkansas. All that pink indicates winter storm warnings. This is the highest warning we can face when looking ahead to a winter storm system. And notice that basically the entire state of Arkansas is under this because if we bring it home now, it’s different than it was yesterday. The weather forecast is just *** because a *** Winter Storm Warning is now in effect for everyone in Northwest Arkansas. These start at 6 a.m. this morning. They will remain in place until noon tomorrow. Here’s a look at how much snow you need to be prepared for. In northwest Arkansas, snow depths range from 4 to 7 inches. The further south you go from areas like Greenwood and Boonville the larger, about 6 to 9 inches extending out there toward Poto and Spiro and then the dark red shaded area between 8 and 10 inches across parts of Scott County. Such a *** major winter storm system that you need to be prepared to see those impacts as early as this morning for the river valley areas south of I-401. So it’s 9 a.m., light, scattered snow showers are starting to move in. And across Lafleur County from Talahina to Poto. We will quickly forward it to you. It is around midday and is spreading further and further throughout the river valley. This extends from Paris to Van Buren. Now we could see darn little sleet at first to mix with the lingering snow before it all merged into the accumulating snowfall. Now it’s 3 p.m. I think it’s best to plan for some snow to fall across northwest Arkansas in the early afternoon. But by 3 p.m. this is becoming more widespread, and note: the more blue we have, the more widespread and accumulating snowfall we will see. So at this point it’s 7am, I hope I can’t go anywhere because then there will be a damn snow machine for several hours in a row. *** There are many ways for this snow to accumulate, which is why the snow total is so high. Here is approximately. At midnight we are looking at continued upper 20s and lower 30s as this front pushes through early Friday morning. If you’re an early riser on Friday, it will still snow. It’s even 8 a.m. here. If you have a place to be, because the reality is many of you still have to go to work. Make sure you allow enough extra travel time to get to your destination. Streets are also covered. No, and this isn’t just going to be fucking dusting. In northwest Arkansas it could be several inches, so 4 to 7 inches. And as that front moves further east, there will be light, isolated showers around 10 a.m. Friday, so we’re on the back edge of that. And then we’re dry on Friday afternoon and then we’re left with the consequences. So very dangerous and difficult travel conditions starting this morning. In the river valley we always expect snow to arrive between 8 and 9 p.m., and until around midday in terms of arrival. And then from northwest Arkansas, expecting the snow to arrive between about 1 and 2 o’clock. So there’s a hell of a lot going on. Wake up and join us this morning at 4029 News Sunrise. We’ll keep you updated on any changes as we see them and the current status. As we see hour by hour on our satellite and radar, we’ll be available throughout Thursday into the overnight hours and into Friday You in the studio. There will be no more snow accumulation on the trail next weekend, but we are concerned that the snow will melt during the day and refreeze at night, so some very icy and slippery spots are possible. I hope you come to us. Stay close to the 4029 Weather Team.
