SUMMARY OF FORECAST

A wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected for a while, as precipitation begins on Sunday night before eventually switching to all rain. Any snow and ice accumulations should be minimal. At this point, snow accumulations are expected to be around one to two inches from the Blue Mountain ridgeline north into the Poconos, Schuylkill County and well into northwestern New Jersey. South of these areas up to about I-78, only coating is expected at most. Any ice accumulation will be less than a tenth of an inch. All rainfall is expected throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, the I-95 corridor and the Southeast. Rainfall is expected on Sunday evening. Precipitation is expected to begin as a wintry mix near and north of the I-78 corridor, with all snow likely north of the Blue Mountain ridgeline. For the I-78 corridor, precipitation is expected to transition to all rain overnight Sunday, but possibly not until early Monday morning near and north of I-80. Although snow and ice accumulations should be small, even these small amounts could create slippery driving conditions and negatively impact your Monday morning commute.
