Aaron Jones shares an admission that will (likely) anger Packers fans

Before signing with the Minnesota Vikings last offseason, veteran running back Aaron Jones spent the first seven years of his NFL career as a member of the Green Bay Packers.

During his tenure with the Packers, Jones was part of several teams that enjoyed great success on the field, including multiple trips to the NFC Championship. However, on Thursday, the current Vikings running back shared something that probably won’t make Green Bay fans too happy.

“This is probably the most fun I’ve ever had playing football. Just being with a great group of people. I look forward to coming to work every day.”

Aaron Jones and the Minnesota Vikings are looking to beat the Green Bay Packers this season

In Week 4, Minnesota managed to overtake Lambeau Field with a 31-29 victory over the Packers, which was Jones’ first game against his former team. On Sunday, the Vikings and their No. 1 running back will try to win the season series with Green Bay for the first time since 2017.

In that Week 4 win, Jones played a big role in the outcome, amassing 139 total yards (93 rushing, 46 receiving) on 26 touches. This weekend, it’s safe to assume he’ll once again play a big role in Minnesota’s game plan.

The Vikings will face a Packers defense that has been significantly better against the run since the last time these two teams met.

Over the last five games, Green Bay has allowed opponents an average of just 3.4 rushing yards per carry, ranking second in the NFL behind only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during that span.

Jones has averaged 4.5 yards per rushing attempt this season and 4.7 yards per carry in his last five games, so it should be a good matchup on Sunday when he goes up against the Packers defense.

If Minnesota wants to beat Green Bay this weekend for the first time since the 2017 season, they will likely need a strong day from Jones. But considering how well he did in his first year in a Vikings jersey, it’s safe to assume he’ll be making a lot of plays on Sunday.
