Spotify Wrapped arrived just in time for the Christmas spirit.

On Wednesday, the streaming service released its 2024 data, allowing music lovers to rethink their annual listening habits.

Global superstar Taylor Swift was once again the most-streamed artist in the world. This was no surprise to Chicagoans, she was named the city’s top artist of 2023 and had three sold-out shows at Soldier Field.

Spotify added the Wrapped Badge to their artist profile for the first time to recognize the honor.

But Swift wasn’t the only artist making waves in the Windy City. Sabrina Carpenter’s ultra-caffeinated, platinum-selling song “Espresso” had Chicagoans bouncing off the wall as the top song in the city – and the world – this year.

Not far behind on the list of top songs was Midwestern Princess Chappell Roan with her triple-platinum song “Good Luck Babe!” No surprise, as she was also a crowd favorite at Lollapalooza and packed the stage in August.
