Actor Justin Baldoni thanks “It Ends With Us” fans for keeping the film’s message in mind

Actor Justin Baldoni expresses his appreciation to the fans of “It ends with us.”

The star recently took the time to sincerely thank those who preserved the film’s message about domestic violence in New York City. Baldoni’s kindness follows ongoing rumors of a contentious relationship between him and his co-star Blake Lively Months after the film’s release.

As Baldoni took photos with several fans and hugged them, he was asked by a cameraman what he would say to fans who may have heard the negative reports surrounding “It Ends With Us.”

Instead of being petty, the “Jane the Virgin” alum took the right approach.

“I just want to say ‘thank you’ to all the fans,” Baldoni said.

“Thank you for watching this film, for supporting it, for supporting survivors (of domestic violence) and for making sure the message is not lost,” he continued. “I’m just so grateful.”

Per TMZA lot of hype surrounding the release of It Ends With Us came from rumors of a clash between Baldoni and Lively, who play Ryle Kincaid and Lily Bloom, respectively.

Lively also took on a co-producer role on the film, which many believe led to several creative differences between her and Baldoni.

As he waved goodbye to his fans, Baldoni was asked about his current status with Lively.

Interestingly, the actor instead chose to promote the streaming debut of It Ends With Us on Netflix.

“We are so grateful! “The movie is available on Netflix,” he said, “so – thank you very much!”

Baldoni was more candid when asked what was next on his agenda.

“(I) am vacationing with my family (and) my babies,” he said with a smile.

Lively was heavily criticized by fans for focusing on the non-serious aspects of the dark film

Among other things, Lively was criticized during the It Ends With Us promotional campaign for seemingly focusing on more lighthearted traits of her character Lily Bloom.

For example, a short promo on the film’s official Instagram channel shows Lively with Colleen Hoover, the author of the source novel, excitedly giving fans ideas about what they should wear when they see the film.

“Grab your friends, carry your bouquet and head out to check it out,” the actress says with a smile.

Additionally, the debut of Lively’s Blake Brown hair care line coincided with the release of “It Ends With Us,” prompting the actress to promote her brand during a New York City pop-up for her beverage companies Betty Buzz and Betty Booze .

Sources close to the actress claimed that a delay in the release of It Ends With Us led to the questionable sync timing of Blake Brown’s hair care line.

The film was originally scheduled to be released around Valentine’s Day 2024, with Blake Brown coming out in August – the same month the film finally premiered after being postponed twice.

During an appearance on the How to Fail podcast with Elizabeth Day, the actor opened up about how directing the film often left him feeling disconnected from the main cast.

“Directing is a very lonely job, I’m just going to be very open,” Baldoni noted, “because you’re at the top of this totem pole, so to speak.” In your moments of silence, everyone has a thousand questions for you and no one wants to bother you either .”

The role of Ryle, who emotionally and physically abuses Lily, also caused him great stress.

“(Ryle) lived in my body (for months),” he explained. “The difficult thing about having (a character like that) in your body is that the trauma of what he experienced lives on in you.”

Yet he has never publicly said an unkind word about Lively.

“(Blake) is an all-around creative who makes everything she touches better,” he said Harper’s Bazaar India already in August.

“She really understood the nuances of this performance for both of us,” Baldoni continued, “and I am so grateful for everything she did to make this film as beautiful as it is.”
