Actress Dayle Haddon died of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning on Friday in the Bucks County, Pennsylvania, home of her son-in-law, actor Marc Blucas.

Solebury Township police responded to a home on Phillips Mill Road shortly after 6:30 a.m. after receiving a 911 call from a resident about a man unconscious on the first floor of a detached in-law apartment, a police report said.

The 76-year-old man was removed from the home and taken to hospital where he was treated. A 76-year-old woman was found dead in a second-floor bedroom of the home, police said.

NBC Philadelphia confirmed that Haddon died at Blucas’ home.

The incident is still under investigation, police said, calling it a “tragedy.” Two paramedics helping were exposed to high levels of carbon monoxide and were treated at a hospital. A Solebury Township police officer was treated at the scene, the department said.

Haddon’s acting credits include Disney’s The World’s Greatest Athlete and North Dallas Forty. According to her website, she was also the only model signed with four major cosmetics companies – Revlon, Max Factor, Estée Lauder and L’Oréal.

Haddon was a spokesperson for L’Oréal for over 15 years, an ambassador for UNICEF and founded WomenOne, a charity focused on the education of girls and women, according to her website.

Her daughter Ryan Haddon remembered her mother as an “inspiration” and someone who “held so many up.”

“The bright light that is Dayle has grown dimmer in this earthly realm. I have no doubt that it shines somewhere as bright as ever where it is needed most,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “She was a woman in her power, yet gentle and attentive to everyone. Deeply creative and curious, endowed with inner and outer beauty. Always friendly and considerate.”

“I always trust the timing of things. There are no accidents and certainly how we enter and leave this world is mystical and unknowable. She was a high-minded spiritual being who valued the development of her soul, so I know her journey here. “This dimension must have been complete,” Ryan continued. “I honor her. I bow to her. I adore all the paths and adventures I have taken. I saw her being golden and always striving for the light in all areas of her life.”

Representatives for Haddon and Blucas did not immediately respond to a request for comment Saturday.
