Adam Sandler Shares ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ Teaser Starring Travis Kelce, Shooter McGavin

Adam Sandler just made sure the fans had fun Happy Holiday by getting a first look at the sequel to one of his most popular comedies.

The Sandman shared a teaser for Have fun with Gilmore 2 on his Instagram on Wednesday and wrote alongside it: “Happy Hanukkah! Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! And Happy Gilmore to everyone!!!!!!”

The first look at the upcoming Netflix film – a sequel to the 1996 comedy starring Sandler as a short-lived wannabe hockey player who uses his slap-shot skills to become a professional golfer – shows Happy back on the golf course in his Boston Bruins Jersey.

The short clip offers a look at NFL star Travis Kelce, months after Sandler revealed that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has a role in the upcoming film. “It’s nice to see you again, Mr. Gilmore,” says Kelce, who appears to be wearing a waiter’s uniform.

Sandler previously said he considered casting Taylor Swift’s leading man as his son in the film. “We thought, ‘Imagine if Travis was my first baby, how fun would that be?’ “Just badass,” Sandler said on an episode of Travis and Jason Kelce New heights Podcast. In a previous podcast episode, the Super Bowl champion denied rumors about his casting but spoke out in favor of a role, saying, “I didn’t even know there was an opening for it.” Have fun with Gilmore 2but if so, I’ll be a damn extra. Anything to do with “Happy Gilmore,” an Adam Sandler movie, or a set—I’m there.

The teaser also sees the return of Modern family Star Julie Bowen plays public relations director Virginia Venit, who is also Happy’s love interest, and ends with a graveyard duel between Happy and his old rival Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald).

New additions to the sequel’s cast include Bad Bunny (shown as Caddy in the teaser), Margaret Qualley, Scott Mescudi (aka rapper Kid Cudi), Benny Safdie and Nick Swardson.
