After a week of storms, sunshine returns to Houston on Sunday

Behind the storm:

The KPRC 2 weather team has been predicting and tracking days of severe weather this week, with Saturday afternoon being the latest tornado outbreak. The National Weather Service reported eight tornadoes in southeast Texas.

Fortunately, the weather system that has been churning the atmosphere continues east of Texas and high pressure is building that will help clear Houston.

Forecast for Sunday:

On Sunday, Southeast Texas gets a break from severe storms as sunshine returns. Sunday morning starts cool with temperatures around 50°C. The afternoon will be wonderful, with highs in the low 70s.
