AJ Dybantsa’s recruiting story

AJ Dybantsa received offers from nearly every Division 1 college basketball program in the country. His list ranged from over 20 traditional powers as a 2023 sophomore and was whittled down to seven in August: Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, BYU, Kansas, Kansas State and North Carolina.

When narrowing his list down to seven in August, Dybantsa’s father Ace told The Enterprise that education, family, winning, tough coaching and “not least” NIL (name, image likeness) opportunities were important to Dybantsa in the selection process.

Dybantsa was reclassified to the class of 2025 in October 2023. He will now choose between Alabama, BYU, Kansas and North Carolina.

AJ Dybantsa’s recent homecoming to Massachusetts

Dybantsa had 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals as well as two highlight dunks in transition. Ament scored a game-high 27 points in the loss.

During game week, Dybantsa attended two of his younger sister’s volleyball games at Cardinal Spellman in Brockton and hosted at the Boys and Girls Club in Roxbury.
