Alabama basketball wears new throwback jerseys against Creighton

Alabama basketball will have a different look for its matchup against Creighton on Saturday. The Crimson Tide has unveiled a new throwback jersey that it will wear during its game against the Bluejays.

The Tide revealed the retro jersey in a post on

“You have an opportunity to really do something to change the way people see Alabama,” Dudley said in the video. “That jersey there – we have something special for you in the locker room. I’m telling you all this, I don’t know if I should say it, but we have something special for you all.”

The crimson throwback is similar to the jersey Dudley wore during his time at Alabama from 1999 to 2003. The jersey reads “Alabama” in white block letters with two white rectangles on the side. The shorts have a similar design.

It’s the second year in a row that Alabama has added a retro uniform to its wardrobe. The Tide wore retro white clothing last year that read “Crimson Tide” in block letters. Alabama dawned the jersey in its Elite Eight victory over Clemson, securing a ticket to its first-ever Final Four.

Alabama will face Creighton at Coleman Coliseum on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network.
