Alabama WR Caleb Odom plans to join the NCAA Transfer Portal

Freshman wide receiver from Alabama Caleb Odom plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal after one season with the Crimson Tide, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

The Carrollton, Ga., native was one of the crown jewels of Alabama’s 2024 recruiting class, which ranked No. 2 nationally in the On3 Industry Rankings.

Odom was listed as a five-star prospect and the 30th overall recruit in the country by On3, but was unable to crack two-deep in his only year in Tuscaloosa due to a high number of receivers.

He appeared in every game, but caught just seven passes for 65 yards – and had no receptions in SEC play. Nevertheless, the 1.90 meter tall, 100 kilogram playmaker will be one of the most sought-after players in the country as soon as he enters the transfer portal.

Odom has three years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
