Ali Wong attended the 2025 Golden Globe Awards without Bill Hader.

The 42-year-old actress walked the red carpet alone before the awards show on Sunday, January 5, at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. During the show, she accepted the award for Best Performance in Television Stand-Up Comedy for her Netflix special Ali Wong: Single lady – and didn’t mention Hader, 46, in her speech.

“My best friend is here, Mia. Thank you for all your love and support over the years,” she said during her speech. “That means a lot. Thank you.”

Jamie Foxx, Nikki Glaser, Seth Meyers, Adam Sandler And Ramy Youssef were also nominated for the award, which Wong took home for her special, which premiered in October 2024.

Wong didn’t mention Hader in her acceptance speech at the time, but she gave a special shout-out to her ex-husband. Justin Hakutawith whom she shares daughters Mari (9) and Nikki (7). And I know this sounds crazy, but I want you to be my girlfriend.”

Wong revealed that Hader then sent her flowers to several cities during her European tour, which her friends found “so sweet.” However, her male friends warned her that Hader might be a “psychopath.”

“That’s how cheap and lazy men have become,” Wong quipped. “That now, if a fellow human being commits any act of kindness or romantic gesture, it must be a symptom of an undiagnosed mental illness.”
