For the first time in nearly a decade, legendary couple Alison Krauss and Union Station will officially reunite for a major national tour in 2025. In total, the pair will perform more than 70 tour dates throughout the United States and Canada.

Even more exciting for fans of Alison Krauss and Union Station is the announcement, which comes with the promise that a new album is on the way, the pair’s first in nearly 15 years – since their award-winning 2011 album Paper airplanes. The name of the tour is “Arcadia,” which could also be the name of the new album.

As part of the tour, Alison Krauss and Union Station also announced their newest band member: Russell Moore of bluegrass band IIIrd Tyme Out. As the band’s frontman, Moore won six IBMA Awards for Male Vocalist of the Year. He will accompany Ron Block (banjo, guitar, vocals), Barry Bales (bass, vocals) and of course Bluegrass Hall of Famer Jerry Douglas on dobro and vocals. Dan Tyminski, a longtime member of Union Station, is not mentioned in the lineup.

“I am so grateful to be able to make music again with my comrades from 40 years,Alison Krauss said in a statement. “They have always done incredible work individually and are therefore constantly traveling. We are very inspired to experience this new exciting chapter in the band’s history.”

The tour will be opened by Willie Watson, with an unknown “special guest” appearing on the first three dates of the tour. Not all dates have been announced yet, but current dates will go on sale on Friday, December 6th. Pre-sales are available from Wednesday, December 4th at 10am local time until Thursday, December 5th at 10pm local time.
