Amazon Prime membership rules will change from January 2025: new limits and more

Amazon is revising its Prime membership terms in India and introducing a cap on the number of TVs that can stream content simultaneously on a single account. Prime members will be able to access it from January 2025 Prime Video on up to five devices, with a limit of two TVs, said an email from the company to a member of the Times of India tech team.
Users who watch Prime Video on more than two televisions must now take out a separate subscription in order to continue watching on the third television. The change will take effect starting January 2025, according to an Amazon help page.
Currently, Prime members can stream on up to five devices, with no restrictions on device type. Users can manage their registered devices on the Prime Video settings page.

Amazon offers Prime membership at a monthly price of Rs 299, quarterly at Rs 599 and annually at Rs 1499. Other subscription options include Prime Lite annual membership for Rs 799 and Prime Shopping Edition for Rs 399 per year. Prime Video membership benefits include unlimited ad-free video streaming and viewing on up to 5 devices (including up to 2 TVs).
