Plot

This version of Anaconda is not a remake of the 1997 thriller. Instead, it follows a new plot with a meta-storytelling approach. The film focuses on a group of friends going through a midlife crisis. They decide to remake a favorite film from their youth, but when they enter the jungle, they experience unexpected events.

Although the new “Anaconda” has the same title, it is different from the original film. The 1997 film, about a National Geographic team’s encounter with a giant snake, was commercially successful, grossing $136 million worldwide.
