Anthony Davis mesmerizes NBA fans as Lakers beat Kings with LeBron James out | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

After LeBron James sat out the Los Angeles Lakers against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night, Anthony Davis stepped up in a big way, posting 36 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists in a 132-122 win.

Davis started well with 17 points, two assists and eight rebounds in the first half, shooting 7 of 8 from the field. Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura also contributed significantly to the victory with 26 and 21 points respectively.

With the Lakers trailing 66-65 at halftime, fans took to social media to praise Davis for his great start:

With 2:35 minutes left in the first half, Los Angeles leads the Kings 59-56
Anthony Davis outscored the Kings offensively by 15 points on 6/7 FGs while Sabonis and Lyles are in foul trouble.
The Kings counter by outscoring the Lakers 32-22 in the paint, and the Kings start hitting the offensive glass.

In the first quarter, Davis played perfectly from the field, shooting 5-on-5, including two great baskets in the final three minutes.

Davis and the Lakers improved to 18-13 with their second straight win on Saturday, three days after a triumphant Christmas Day clash with the Golden State Warriors.

The Lakers will look to pick up their third straight win when they host Donovan Mitchell and the Eastern Conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.
