LOS ANGELES (AP) — Buckle up, fashionistas! With some of Hollywood’s hottest stars vying for awards this year, it’s set to be an eventful season. And it all starts with the Golden Globes: Stars (and their stylists) mark their territory at one of Hollywood’s most spectacular events. Big this year: lots of glitter and shine.

Here are some of the looks that turned heads at the Golden Globes on Sunday:

Ariana Grande: From Glinda pink to Hepburn yellow

She wasn’t wearing pink, Glinda the Good’s favorite color. But “Wicked” star Grande conjured up another Ozian color — yellow (from the yellow brick road, of course) in Givenchy haute couture. The dress was made of light silk with a hand-embroidered bodice, a vintage dress from what the designer describes as Givenchy’s Audrey Hepburn era. She wore a Swarovski necklace.

Cate Blanchett: Glittering in gold

Actress Blanchett looked like an award statue come to life in a sparkling gold dress with a ruffled bodice by Louis Vuitton – which she also wore to the Cannes Film Festival.

Ali Wong: Fiery in red

Actress and comedian Wong wasn’t easy to miss on the carpet, wearing a flowing firefighter-style dress made of bright red tulle. The Balenciaga model was accessorized with a satin belt and glamorous black spandex opera gloves almost to the shoulder.

Tyler James Williams: Educating the masses in fashion

Abbott Elementary’s Williams is never confident or boring on the carpet. On Sunday, he wore a gray pinstripe suit with a cropped, double-breasted jacket with prominent shoulder pads and a bare chest peeking out over baggy trousers.

Glen Powell: A (fashion) killer in Armani

Powell ditched the tie and instead exuded casual glamor in a brown open-collar shirt and black velvet jacket by Giorgio Armani.
