Arizona Weather Forecast: Cold front brings cooler temperatures to the region

Officials with the National Weather Service say a cold front is bringing some weather changes to our region.

“A cold front will arrive later today into early Tuesday, resulting in breezy to locally windy conditions and cooler temperatures across the region. Some rural areas are forecast to reach the freezing mark early Wednesday morning,” part of the forecast reads. Temperatures are expected to rise again later in the week.

For the Phoenix area, NWS is calling for a high of 74°F, falling to 68°F on Tuesday.

Forecasters also say gusty conditions are expected in parts of Arizona due to the cold front. Meanwhile, a freeze warning was issued for early Wednesday for some areas, including the Casa Grande area, with forecasts calling for low temperatures to drop to near freezing.
