Arkadelphia shuts out Elkins for the Class 4A state championship

The final day of the Arkansas high school football season began with Arkadelphia winning the Class 4A state championship. The Badgers defeated Elkins 28-0 on Saturday in Little Rock.

Brayden Wagner was named the game’s most valuable player with six tackles and two interceptions. Also for Arkadelphia, Bryston McCoy was 15 of 37 through the air for 246 yards, three touchdowns and a pick. Elks’ quarterback Ben Napier completed 12 passes on 37 attempts for 103 yards and four interceptions.

The Badgers finished the season 13-2. Elkins’ final record is 14-1.
