Arkansas acquires former Mizzou WR Courtney Crutchfield transfer on Christmas Day

Arkansas couldn’t get Courtney Crutchfield out of high school. But now the former elite in-state recruit is on his way back to the Razorbacks for the 2025 season.

On Christmas Day, Arkansas confirmed in the transfer portal that Crutchfield had signed with Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks. Crutchfield began his career at Mizzou and was once one of Arkansas’ top players in the 2024 recruiting class.

Crutchfield starred at Pine Bluff High School before college and received interest in the SEC from Mizzou, Arkansas and Auburn, among others. He was ranked as the No. 100 overall player for the 2024 recruiting class, the No. 2 prospect from Arkansas according to the 247 Sports Composite.

Crutchfield didn’t register any stats as a true freshman and will have a chance to carve out a role with the Razorbacks in 2025. He is part of a transfer recruiting class for the Razorbacks that consists of 16 players and a core group of receivers.

O’Mega Blake (Charlotte), Kam Shanks (UAB) and Raylen Sharpe (Fresno State) are other college receivers set to transfer to Arkansas this cycle. We’ll see if Crutchfield can play early in his first season in his home state.
