Arkansas Football easily beats Texas Tech in the Liberty Bowl

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — An undermanned Arkansas football team put an end to the 2024 season Friday night, leading a dominant performance from quarterback Taylen Green to a 39-26 victory over Texas Tech in the Liberty Bowl.

Green wasn’t very efficient, but he was explosive, completing 11 of 21 passes for 341 yards. He also ran for 81 yards and accounted for three touchdowns, playing one of his best games of the year without his top regular-season target, Andrew Armstrong.

The Razorbacks (7-6) started fast, scoring touchdowns on their first three drives and taking a 21-3 lead at the end of the first quarter. Texas Tech (8-5) rallied and eventually cut the deficit to just two points late in the second period, but Arkansas controlled the game after halftime.
