Aroldis Chapman signs with the Red Sox in MLB free agency

The Yankees will see a lot more of Aroldis Chapman in 2025.

Their former closer is signing a one-year deal worth $10.75 million with the rival Red Sox, The Post’s Jon Heyman reported Tuesday morning.

Chapman, 36, spent last season with the Pirates, pitching to a 3.79 ERA with 98 strikeouts in 61 ⅔ innings.

He also made 14 saves in 68 appearances.

Chapman played parts of seven seasons with the Yankees, recording a 2.94 ERA with 453 strikeouts and 153 saves in 294 ⅓ innings.

The flamethrower, a seven-time All-Star, sat out his final season in the Bronx in 2022, posting a 4.46 ERA in 36 ⅓ innings.

This season was full of drama as Chapman was sidelined a month later in the season after suffering a leg infection from a tattoo.

He was subsequently left off the Yankees’ ALDS roster after dropping out of a team practice before the series began.

Chapman, who spent his first six seasons with the Reds, signed with the Royals for the 2023 season and posted a 2.45 ERA in 31 games before being traded mid-season to the Rangers, with whom he won his second World Series. Ring won.

He was part of the curse-breaking Cubs championship team in 2016 after the Yankees sent him to Chicago as part of the Gleyber Torres deal.

The Yankees and Red Sox are among the teams pursuing top free agent Juan Soto, along with the Mets, Dodgers and Blue Jays.
