PHILADELPHIA – AJ Brown was up to something when he was caught reading a book on the sidelines.

Jim Murphy’s book was called Inner Excellence. Brown, the Eagles’ wide receiver, knows a thing or two about excellence. After all, three straight seasons with at least 1,000 yards receiving speak for it.

But it also speaks to Brown’s ability to concentrate. Imagine how hard it must be to read a book on the sidelines while nearly 70,000 fans scream for the Eagles’ offense to, er, turn the tide on repeated three-and-outs.

Or maybe to get quarterback Jalen Hurts to read something himself – for example, the Packers’ defense.
