Overall, Michigan played pretty well when relying on the running game.

Davis Warren is 6-8 for just 31 yards.

Kalel Mullings had 13 carries for 42 yards and a touchdown. Alex Orji had one carry for 29 yards. Donovan Edwards had four runs for 11 yards and was fumbled on one play.

Without Colston Loveland, Tyler Morris has one reception for 14 yards; Hogan Hansen has one for 9 yards; Fredrick Moore has one for 6 yards; and Edwards has two for just two yards.

Will Howard is 12-18 for 119 yards, with one touchdown and one interception.

Quinshon Jenkins had six carries for 25 yards. TreVeyon Henderson had six carries for 8 yards.

Carnell Tate has five receptions for 45 yards; Emeka Egbuka has two for 36 yards; and Jeremiah Smith has four for 32 yards and a touchdown.

It’s difficult to stop Ohio State’s offense for too long.

Will Howard led the Buckeyes on a 10-play, 75-yard drive that lasted just 1:45 and ended with Howard finding Jeremiah Smith for the 10-yard touchdown.

Michigan has some pretty, pretty good kickers.

Punter Tommy Doman pinned the Buckeyes deep with a 68-yard punt.

Then, after forcing the Buckeyes to punt, the Wolverines found themselves in good field position but were unable to score the touchdown.

So Dominic Zvada calmly came in and kicked a 54-yard field goal.

How good was Zvada?

It was a good performance for the Buckeyes, but what everyone will remember is Makari Paige’s hit on quarterback Will Howard.

Howard had to go to get checked out, but the Buckeyes converted the first down anyway.

When Howard returned, he was unable to reach the Buckeyes in the end zone.

Jayden Fielding missed a 38-yard field goal.

Well, that was a fortunate turn of events for Michigan.

After failing to turn the ball over on fourth down from the 3-yard line and turning the ball over on downs, the Wolverines got the ball back when Aamir Hall intercepted Will Howard’s pass and returned it for a 2-yard brought back the OSU line.

It took two tries, but Kalel Mullings finally hit it from the 1-yard line.

After Davis Warren completed a 6-yard pass to Fredrick Moore to reach the 3-yard line, the Wolverines were still one yard short.

They called a timeout and came back with another run, but the Buckeyes held Kalel Mullings for no gain.

The Wolverines have turned to what has made them successful at times this season – the running game.

Although Davis passed to Warren a few times, they had 10 carries for 67 yards, with the majority coming from Alex Orji’s 29-yard run.

It didn’t look like the Buckeyes had too much trouble moving down the field, but the Wolverines stopped them in the red zone.

After nine plays and 58 drives, Jayden Fielding kicked a 29-yard field goal for the game’s first score.

Beat writer Angelique Chengelis has the availability report and it doesn’t look good:

No Will Johnson, no Colston Loveland and no Rod Moore.

To make matters worse, Michigan injured itself during warmups.
