At halftime, the Dolphins took a 6-3 lead over the Browns

There were hardly any significant attacks on the shores of Lake Erie on Sunday afternoon.

But the Dolphins hit a 39-yard field goal as time expired in the first half to take a 6-3 lead over the Browns.

Quarterback Tyler Huntley – filling in for the injured Tua Tagovialoa – was able to hit a 9-yard pass and spike the ball to stop the clock at the end of the second quarter, setting up the score.

Huntley finished the first half 13 of 16 for 143 yards. Tyreek Hill has five catches for 69 yards.

Miami has just nine first downs and is 0 of 5 on third down. Midway through the first quarter, Jason Sanders also made a 54-yard field goal to score the first.

Cleveland quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson is 7 of 15 for 58 yards with an interception – the 10th of his career. He is the only player this century with at least 10 interceptions and only one or no touchdowns.

Dustin Hopkins, who has struggled mightily this season, scored the team’s only points with a 25-yard field goal early in the second quarter.

Running back Jerome Ford left the game with an ankle injury and is doubtful to return.

Of note, Miami left tackle Terron Armstead went down after making a tackle on a Huntley interception that was overturned because Cleveland committed defensive pass interference. Patrick Paul came in to replace him as left tackle.

The Dolphins need a win to stay alive as the No. 7 seed in the AFC. But a Browns win would bring the Rams another step closer to winning the NFC West.
