Atlanta Falcons inactive in Week 13 against Los Angeles Chargers

ATLANTA – After recovering from a right hip injury during the latter part of Week 13 preparation, Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo is active for Atlanta’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Koo was listed as questionable in Friday’s match report after he had limited training on Thursday but was in full practice on Friday.

Head coach Raheem Morris said Friday that he expects the Falcons to be in good shape with Koo heading into the weekend, and that picking up and then adding kicker Riley Patterson to the practice squad on Saturday would be an “emergency situation,” if it arises at all. Due to Koo’s active status, Patterson is inactive.

The Falcons previously ruled out starting cornerback Mike Hughes at the end of the week. He is suffering from a neck injury. Expect Clark Phillips III to star alongside AJ Terrell.

In other inactive news, inside linebackers JD Bertrand and Rashaan Evans have been removed from game day availability. Bertrand missed the Falcons’ Week 11 game at Denver due to a concussion. Although Bertrand is listed on this week’s injury report, he was not assigned a game date on Friday.

However, the Falcons still have good depth at inside linebacker. Nate Landman (hamstring) and Troy Andersen (knee) are available after recovering from their respective injuries. Atlanta also opted to sign Josh Woods from the practice squad to fill in depth behind the starters.
