Author Neil Gaiman is being sued for alleged sexual abuse by multiple women

More and more women have made allegations of sexual assault against author Neil Gaiman. The acclaimed fantasy author is best known for features like The Sandman, Good omens And Coraline.

In a January 13th vulture In the cover story, several women spoke publicly about their alleged experiences with the famous 64-year-old writer, including Scarlett Pavlovich, who used to babysit for Gaiman and his ex-wife Amanda Palmer.

Pavlovich said vulture Reporter Lila Shapiro reported that she and Palmer, whom Gaiman married in 2011, had been friends since Pavlovich was 22. Palmer asked Pavlovlich to babysit her and Gaiman’s son at Gaiman’s home on Waiheke Island in New Zealand. The couple was separated at the time.

Pavlovich claimed she and Gaiman were alone in the house while they waited for his son to finish the playdate. Gaiman suggested Pavlovich take a bath. Pavlovlich claimed that Gaiman joined her naked while she was in the bathtub.

“I said ‘no,’” Pavlovich said. “I said, ‘I don’t have confidence in my body.’ He said, “It’s okay – it’s just me.” Just relax. Just talk to each other.’”

Pavlovich claimed that Gaiman “put his fingers right in my a–.” The author then allegedly “tried to rub his penis between my breasts” and squirted in her face.

“He said, ‘Call me ‘master,’ and I’ll come,” Pavlovich said. “He said, ‘Be a good girl. You’re a good little girl.'”

Pavlovich claimed Gaiman continued to assault her throughout her time as a babysitter for the family, including in one instance where she had to endure anal sex using butter as a lubricant. Pavlovich also noticed that Gaiman’s son began to address her as “slave” and ordered her to call him “master.” Later, Gaiman is said to have had sex with Pavlovich in a hotel while the child was still in the room.

The author was first accused of sexual assault on the British podcast in July 2023 master released six episodes addressing sexual assault allegations against Gaiman by five different women.

A woman identified as Caroline on the show recounted it vulture that she and her husband Phillip lived and worked as caretakers at Gaiman and Palmer’s home in Woodstock, New York. After Phillip moved out, Caroline and Gaiman began a physical relationship and occasionally had phone sex.

Caroline remembered falling asleep in Gaiman and Palmer’s bed one evening while reading to Gaiman’s then four-year-old son. When the author returned home, he allegedly climbed into the bed where his son was still lying, reached over him and placed Caroline’s hand on Gaiman’s penis.

“He had no boundaries,” Caroline remembers. “I remember thinking that there was really something wrong with him.”

Several other women spoke vulture for the cover story, including Katherine Kendall, who met Gaiman in 2012 when she was 22 and claimed Gaiman tried to have sex with her on his tour bus (Gaiman subsequently gave Kendall $60,000 to start therapy and “that Kendra Stout, who met Gaiman at a book signing when she was 18, claimed the author had her in 2007 raped.

Caroline alleged that Gaiman’s business manager offered her $5,000 in December 2021 if she signed a non-disclosure agreement and moved away from Gaiman’s Woodstock estate. Pavlovich, who remained in contact with Gaiman for a time, also eventually signed a nondisclosure agreement and received separate payments of $9,200. Pavlovich filed a police report against Gaiman in January 2023, but due to Gaiman and Palmer’s refusal to speak to authorities (Gaiman provided a written statement), the case was dropped. vulture reported.

Gaiman has denied all allegations since 2023. The author, who had numerous TV adaptations of his books in the works, withdrew from producing the third season of Prime Video Good omens Adjustment.
