BJ Freeman and Basheer Jihad each hit game-winning 3-pointers late and Alston Mason hit two free throws in the final seconds to lift Arizona State to an 85-82 victory in the Acrisure Classic at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, Calif., on Thursday night about New Mexico.

ASU (5-2) led by as many as 13 points in the first half, that lead was 31-18 early, but the Lobos finished the half with a 16-1 run to take a 37-34 lead into the locker room.

The Lobos (5-2) led by nine points 60-51 after 10 minutes of the second half, but ASU got closer and it stayed close down the stretch as the game featured a total of 10 ties and seven lead changes.
