Hot reception for a hot premier class evening.

Before the Champions League duel between Leverkusen and Inter (9 p.m./DAZN and here in the BILD live ticker), the fan umbrella organization “Nordkurve12” called for a bus reception. Around 7,000 Bayer supporters followed suit on Tuesday evening and painted Bismarckstrasse (popularly known as “Xabi-Alonso-Allee”) in black and red from 7 p.m.

New Year’s Eve is still three weeks away, but there have already been fireworks spectacles. The fans greeted the team bus with pyro-flares, rockets, smoke pots, scarves, flags and loud chants, creating the perfect mood for the Inter game.

The fan umbrella organization “Nordkurve12” wrote about the reception: “From the club side, we know that support can tip the scales, especially against strong opponents.” The last percent, the decisive meters, that is us. Let’s show that Bavarian belongs in the Champions League and can compete with the best teams in the world.”

Last season, the Leverkusen fans kicked off some historic games with several bus receptions. Most recently on April 14th, the first championship was completed with a 5-0 win against Bremen.

Now the fans have submitted again and the team can follow suit from 9 p.m.
