Bears vs. Vikings and Falcons vs. Raiders on Monday Night Football Scores and Live Updates: Minnesota defense attacks Caleb Williams early

The Bears didn’t win their first meeting against the Vikings on Nov. 24 at Soldier Field. But head coach Thomas Brown and rookie quarterback Caleb Williams have definitely tested Minnesota’s defense and defensive coordinator Brian Flores. Brown was in his second game as offensive coordinator after replacing Shane Waldron. Since taking over the offense, his offense has featured more movement and condensed formations.

The Bears erased an 11-point deficit in the final two minutes to force overtime in their first meeting. Williams finished the game 32 of 47 for 340 yards and two touchdowns, for a passer rating of 103.1. Opposing quarterbacks have an average rating of 80.2 against the Vikings this season.

Flores now has film of Brown’s offense to use in his game plan against Williams on Monday Night Football. But Brown also sees this as something positive for himself and Williams.

“When you have a rookie quarterback who could see the coverages, see the pressure and adjust to it, obviously with a familiar opponent he played pretty well against that first opponent,” Brown said. “Like I said, the second time will be different. They will make adjustments. Especially with Flores, he’s going to do a great job of disguising things and changing his game plan from the first time around.”
