All week we’ve written about how turnover margin is an important category for the Bucs to win if they want to have a competitive chance against the Chargers. Through the first two quarters of their Week 15 matchup, the Bucs failed to pull off this win.

The Bucs would enter halftime with two turnovers, both on consecutive drives, giving the Chargers a 17-13 lead.

Baker Mayfield turned the ball over first for the team as it started a drive in the second quarter. The Chargers capitalized on this and turned it into seven points with a touchdown pass from Justin Herbert to Quentin Johnston.

They followed that drive with one that gave Rachaad White a case of the fumble. However, the Bucs’ defense stepped up and was able to prevent the Chargers from scoring after another turnover.

The Bucs will need to force a turnover or two in the second half if they want to make this a competitive game.
