Bengals WR injured vs. Steelers NFL Week 18

Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins suffered a left ankle injury in the third quarter of the Week 18 NFL game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium.

Higgins was on the sideline early in the fourth quarter as the Bengals took the lead.

The Bengals announced that Higgins’ return was questionable. He finished the game with four catches for 53 yards.

Higgins, in his fifth season with the Bengals, recorded 11 catches for 131 yards and three touchdowns in Cincinnati’s Week 17 overtime win over Denver. He also caught a 31-yard pass from quarterback Joe Burrow, which set up the game-winning touchdown and allowed Burrow to break his own franchise single-season record for passing yards.

Higgins was listed as questionable on the Bengals’ injury report for Weeks 17 and 18 with ankle and knee injuries due to limited practice during the week both weeks.

Higgins injured his left ankle in the third quarter of the Bengals’ NFL Week 16 win over Cleveland. He returned to the game in the fourth quarter and finished with eight catches for 58 yards and a touchdown.

After the Bengals’ 27-20 win in Dallas, quarterback Joe Burrow said he was confident the team could bring Higgins back next season.
