Best and worst PFF grades from the Panthers’ Week 16 win over the Cardinals

Two heroes stood out in the Carolina Panthers’ thrilling overtime win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16. And not surprisingly, the film fans at Pro Football Focus rewarded her for it.

Here are the best (and worst) PFF grades from Sunday’s 36-30 win:

The best of the offense

1. QB Bryce Young: 91.72. RB Chuba Hubbard: 86.13. LG Damien Lewis: 77.74. OL Chandler Zavala: 77.35. LT Ikem Ekwonu: 74.6

Young’s overall offensive grade of 91.7 is his new career high. Not only did he complete 17 of his 26 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns, but he also rushed for a career-high 68 yards and another score.

Hubbard paced the offense with 152 rushing yards, one shy of his career high, and two touchdowns on 25 carries. He secured the victory in overtime with his 21-yard run into the end zone.

The worst offense

13. RB Raheem Blackshear: 55,314. RG Robert Hunt: 55,215. WR Jalen Coker: 53,416. TE Ja’Tavion Sanders: 52,217. C Brady Christensen: 51.4

While Hunt posted a team-high 88.5 grade in pass blocking, his grade of 44.7 faltered in the run game. Christensen, who started in place of Cade Mays, was charged with two counts of printing.

Coker, who nearly made an incredible one-handed touchdown grab, was mostly quiet with two receptions for eight yards.

1. CB Mike Jackson: 78.12. DT A’Shawn Robinson: 72.33. OLB Jadeveon Clowney: 71.64. DE Sam Roberts: 65.75. S Xavier Woods: 63.9

Jackson was tested all afternoon by the Cardinals, who targeted the veteran corner seven times. He allowed five balls for 65 yards en route to a solid coverage rating of 78.6.

Clowney tallied four pressures and two stops.

The worst defense

15. OLB DJ Johnson: 51,016. ILB Jacoby Windmon: 50,217. ILB Josey Jewell: 48,418. EN LaBryan Ray: 46,619. CB Dane Jackson: 44.8

Windmon was given the dubious honor of being called for the first hip drop tackle penalty in NFL history. He also missed two tackles.
