Best and worst players from the Week 15 win over the Seahawks

The Green Bay Packers played what Pro Football Focus called their best game of the 2024 season in Sunday night’s dominant 30-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field.

The Packers, who led 14-0 and 20-3 in the first half, posted their best marks on offense, defense and overall this season.

The grades correlate well with the outcome: The Packers led by at least two points for most of the contest and were ahead by 17 points when Geno Smith exited in the third quarter. A final takeaway and touchdown secured a three-point victory for the visiting Packers.

Based on Pro Football Focus’ grades, here are the best and worst players from the Packers’ Week 15 win over the Seahawks:

2. WR Romeo Doubs: 78.7
3. WR Dontayvion Wicks: 78.0
4. C Josh Myers: 76.1

Tom gave up two runs but earned an elite run-blocking grade. Doubs made a contested catch and caught two touchdown passes. Wicks caught two passes, both of which led to first downs. Myers only gave up one rush and was good in the running game. Reed converted his eight touches into 61 yards — gaining 44 after the catch and rushing three times for 27 yards.

4. DL Kenny Clark: 79.5
5. CB Eric Stokes: 77.8

2. RB Josh Jacobs: 60.5
3. RG Sean Rhyan: 63.5
4. QB Jordan Love: 66.9
5. LT Rasheed Walker: 69.5

Sims achieved an average run block grade. Jacobs gained 80 yards after initial contact, but lost a fumble and averaged less than 4.0 yards per carry. Rhyan allowed a team-high three pressures and received a false start penalty in the red zone. Love had a few bad throws but played well overall. Walker earned the team’s highest pass-blocking grade but was only okay in the run game.

Defending the bottom 5

1. LB Quay Walker: 44.2
2. DL Karl Brooks: 47.1

Brooks delivered six pressures, but missed a tackle and struggled against the run inside. Nixon allowed four catches on four targets and committed two penalties. Williams was credited with giving up two catches for 40 yards. Wooden had 12 pass rush opportunities but generated no pressure.

Special teams

Brandon McManus made all six kicks and had one tackle. Daniel Whelan had a punt inside the 10-yard line. Ben Sims received elite rating for his blocking on kickoff returns. Quarterback game

Jordan Love: 66.9

Love completed 11 of 14 passes for 134 yards and a touchdown from clean pockets, completed nine of 13 passes for 95 yards and a touchdown under pressure and did not have a turnover-worthy game. He had a pass defended and gained four yards once. On passes over 20 yards, Love was 3 of 6 for 84 yards and a score – plus a great throw. However, he missed a few deep balls and the pass failed on several intermediate attempts, including an attempt that would have been easy for Romeo Doubs.

Stat knowing

Geno Smith was pressured on 10 of his 23 dropbacks, while Sam Howell was pressured on 12 of 19. Add them up – 22 pressured dropbacks in 42 attempts. This was a great performance from the Packers defensive front, producing a total of 34 pressures.
