Beyoncé enrages NFL fans with this forbidden hand gesture at the halftime show

Not everyone liked Beyoncé’s halftime performance on Christmas Day.

All eyes were on the 43-year-old superstar as she took the field at NRG Stadium in Houston on Wednesday as the Texans battled the Baltimore Ravens.

Resplendent in a white body suit and cowgirl hat, Beyoncé performed several hits from her “Cowboy Carter” album alongside Post Malone and Shaboozey – but when she made one particular move, viewers at home lost it.

While singing “Texas Hold ‘Em,” the singer raised her right hand and made the controversial gun gesture with two fingers. At the same time, a banner reading “BANG” was released behind Beyoncé.

The National Football League bans the gesture, which, according to the Daily Mail, results in a 15-yard penalty for any offending player.

“I thought the same thing too!! How many players were penalized for this?” a second X user replied.

“Where is Beyoncé’s flag because of the finger guns?!?!” posted a third. “Beyoncé is still not convinced as a country artist. Still looks like a pop star who just put on a cowboy hat. “It’s also hilarious that the league has been fining players everywhere for finger guns and she throws them around like it’s her job,” a fourth added.

The Post has reached out to the NFL for comment.

Many wondered if the 32-time Grammy winner would be fined for her actions; However, her husband Jay-Z has close ties to the football community.

The NFL partnered with his record label Roc Nation in 2019, agreeing that the company would be the league’s “live music entertainment strategist” and standing by him in the wake of his scandal.

Jay-Z was not present to watch his wife’s nearly 13-minute performance after he was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl with Sean “Diddy” Combs at a 2000 Video Music Awards afterparty .

It’s important to note that Jay-Z has not been charged in connection with the lawsuit and has denied the allegations, calling them “vile” and an “extortion attempt.” His attorney also spoke sternly about the growing number of inconsistencies that have come to light since the lawsuit was filed.

While Jay-Z wasn’t at Beyoncé’s Christmas Day performance, her eldest child, Blue Ivy, 12, stole the show when she came out and danced alongside her famous mom.
